Best Sky Bars in Dubai

What better way to enjoy Dubai's iconic skyline than on a rooftop with a beverage in hand, listening to some chilled out lounge music...

Dubai is famous for glitz, glamour, and having skyscrapers galore, so there is no shortage of sky bars to visit. I know my peeps though - and despite the abundance of choice the question comes down to a. where can I take the best instagram shot and b. what bar has the best vibe to buck ratio aka where can I have fun without breaking the bank. Dubai can be expensive especially where there is alcohol being served. Thankfully, as there are so many competing spots a lot of them will have deals on certain nights of the week.

I've got your back, here are three of my favourite sky bars in Dubai. I'll rate these places on gram worthiness and price tag. Let's get into it!

1. Ce La Vie

Ce La Vie Dubai is located on the 52nd floor of the Address Hotel Sky View. It has stunning views of the Burj Khalifa and a crazy infinity rooftop pool. Oh and there is a swing with flowers on it - aka insta central.

Honestly I find their website a bit confusing and when we tried to book for drinks we were told it was full and in fairness one part of it was full but there is an open air lounge on the same floor that accepts walk in's. They never mentioned that in the email though... in fact the response was late so we just took our chances and turned up and volia - seats with a view.

In terms of the floor layout there is a restaurant and a sky bar on one side of the 52nd floor and then the pool and an open air lounge on the other. In terms of the view the only difference is the Sky Bar and Restaurant have access to the swing . There is a minimum spend at Ce La Vie and the amount changes depending on where you sit.

The lounge is a bit more casual and it is cheaper. There is a minimum spend of 150 AED per person or £30. We spent £65 for two people and had two drinks each.

The sky bar minimum spend is 250 AED or £48 per person which I think is very steep, at that price you may as well just go to the restaurant. Also, there are often deals at the restaurant such as a 3 course set menu lunch for AED 140.

Instagram level: High. There is no denying that the views at Ce La Vie are incredible and it is cool to see a sky high infinity pool. The only downside is you have to shoot through glass.

2. Level 43

Level 43 in the four points by Sheraton hotel is way under rated in my opinion. I have been perusing various "Best Sky Bars in Dubai" lists and it doesn't make all of them. Big mistake, this place is great. It gives a birds eye view of Sheikh Zayed road - the city's main artery so to speak, and you can snap all the gleaming skyscrapers on either side of this main road.

Price wise it is way more reasonable than some of the other sky bars and I don't recall there being a minimum spend. They have ladies day deals on Sundays and Tuesdays and Happy Hour for everyone between 6pm to 8pm err day.

Instagram Level: High! The lounge is on floor ... can you guess? Yup 43. This gives it great panoramic views of the skyline, also the glass is quite low so it won't get in the way of your photo.

3. Atelier M

Atelier M is a restaurant and a bar located on the top floor of the Pier 7 building in Dubai Marina. It is split across 3 floors with the bottom floor being a lounge, the middle floor being a fine dining restaurant, and the top floor being a rooftop bar. I would say skip the lounge and go to either of the other floors.

The rooftop has quite a funky design with its cylindrical shape and purple lighting scheme. Pre-covid I'd say it had much more of a stand up bar / party vibe but currently it is sit down dining only. It was a little loud for dinner so if you plan on eating I would recommend sitting on the terrace outside on floor two.

The snack menu in the lounge and on the roof is reasonable with pizzas starting at 50AED or 10 GBP. The restaurant is pricey, the mains come in around AED 170 -190 (£35-40) and they are small portion wise.

Dinner Atelier M Dubai

They host Ladies Nights on Tuesday and Friday which includes 5 drinks per lady and a 3 course meal for AED 150 (£30) which is what we did and it was pretty sweet. Excellent food, great view, fun atmosphere.

Also I love the Marina area so points for location.

Instagram tip: Second floor is better for photos - the purple light on the rooftop is fun for mood setting not so fun for the gram.
