"Hotter Than Hell But More Luxurious"

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton Dubai

The title is a classic quote from Bryony which perfectly describes our Dubai trip.

For the last two nights we checked into the beautiful Ritz Carlton Hotel on Jumeirah Beach.

My cousins had stayed here earlier in the year and posted lots of envy inducing photos so I couldn’t wait to see the place for myself.

Of course as soon as we checked in our first thought was to have a bath.. with champagne and heels… as you do..

We then made our way to the pool for a bite to eat.

In prep for my upcoming Asia trip I had Nasi Goreng. It was so good but I shall let the photo speak for itself.

Bryony was also feeling the Asian cuisine vibe and went for noodles.

Just before we were about to pack up and leave Sanjay, our hero of a waiter, came out with a surprise ice cream dessert! YES!

Bryony and I were beyond delighted with ourselves with this unexpected treat and it was the perfect antidote to the steamy heat we were about to face in our desert safari.

When we returned from our desert safari we found another little surprise waiting for us in the room…

I think I like this hotel, A LOT.

The following morning after munching away on all the breakfast foods you could possibly think of, we sauntered down to the pool.

We swam lengths and lengths, followed by some aerobics, and a quick jog…

Or maybe that was just a dream I had as I snoozed on our sun bed, just about managing to roll over every so often to apply more suncream.

After our day of lounging and a sneaky bit of shopping we came back to the room to watch the sunset.

Since it was our last night we celebrated with a few bubbles..

Before getting dolled up in our new clothes from the Dubai Mall.

We took advantage of the Ritz-Carlton’s lobby for a quick photo op…

Then made our way to met up with our friends Mo and Herb at Neos.

Neos is up on the 63rd floor of the Address Downtown Hotel and it has a stunning view overlooking the Burj Khalifa and the fountains.

Equally colourful was the epic array of martini cocktails on our table…

Cheers to our resident Dubai expert Mo for picking such a good spot!

It was also a fun reunion for Bryony, Herb, and I as we hadn’t spent time all together since high school (which was an embarrassingly long time ago now… eek getting old).

At midnight we did a reverse Cinderella and went to the ball… or club in this case as we sadly were not invited to any balls.

The website of Cavalli Club describes it as the “distillation of all things fabulous”

Well that is certainly a phrase I am going to be using in the future.

It did in fact turn out to be a fabulous night as we twirled away under the flashing strobe lights.

Dubai, I want to come back!
