Waking up on the 57th floor in Bangkok

Lebua Tower Club in Bangkok

Waking up in Bangkok is one thing…

View from our room at the Lebua Tower Club

Waking up on the 57th floor to a panoramic city view is something else!

Beccy and I could barely contain ourselves when we checked into our ‘room’ in the Lebua Tower Club… mainly because it was not really a room but a full on 2 bedroom apartment!

Complete with kitchen…

Two living room areas…

Two bathrooms…

Balconies on all sides, of course they made the perfect spot for my signature pose.

Our first night consisted of us spending far longer than we would like to admit trying to work the coffee machine.

Once we had eventually sorted it out we twirled around the room trying on different outfits and getting ready for dinner at Breeze (read here).

Safe to say it was a great night and the next morning we were more than a little tired, but missing breakfast was not an option, especially when I heard rumours that there would be cronuts about!

Beccy and I set up tent right by the pool and felt the shocked glances of those around us as we covered our entire table in food #sorrynotsorry

There was so many different options on offer that we couldn’t possibly narrow it down. We tried Japanese, Chinese, Indian, and of course all the pastries!

We debated long and hard over which was our favourite..

Nothing could really stand in the way of the cronut! Delicious!

Feeling full of guilt and shame we returned to our room to put on looser clothes. The guilt had gotten so bad that we then launched into a fat busting bikini body making yoga video!

Followed by a swim in the pool.

We had great plans to go see all the sights of Bangkok but it was just so lovely by the pool and in all honesty after a month of travelling I was wrecked! So we ended up just lounging around working on our non-existent tans.

We skipped lunch… whoop go us! Then went for afternoon tea (cheeky).

As part of the Tower Club benefits guests can avail of complimentary breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea, at the Tower Club room on the 52nd floor.

Afternoon Tea at the Tower Club

Also free drinks all day er day! I like it!

As the sun started to set we took our cocktail drinking activity upstairs to the Sirocco Bar on the 63rd floor. This place is the world’s highest alfresco restaurant!

If you think it looks familiar that is because the hotel and this rooftop in particular, were made famous by the Hangover 2 movie.

Searching for the wolf pack!

The atmosphere was really special up here, I felt like I could see the entire city move from day to night.

When we finally managed to tear ourselves away from the view we went for a casual stroll to a night market.. casual stroll turned into more of a hectic hike but considering all we ate it was probably for the best.

Word on the night markets… you can buy anything there, no really, anything! Also you need to bargain.

The infamous ghost tower… an abandoned tower that is apparently haunted, popular place for adventure photographers!

We weren’t very successful with the shopping so after wandering around for a while we returned back to the comfort of our lovely room.

A couple things that I do have to mention is that as amazingly beautiful as the room was, I could only get wifi in one small part of it! It literally drove me bonkers having to walk into the kitchen every time I wanted to send a message!

I also was seriously unimpressed when I checked out the following morning and they would not keep my luggage in the luggage room due to security reasons… there was no way I was going to lug my bag all around Bangkok for a day before my flight. So after a bit of an argument they agreed to take it but still.. not a happy bunny!

As it is such a nice hotel I am hoping they sort these issues out soon, because really this view is too good to waste!
